The Talent Developer Football Academy capped off a landmark season in style with a prestigious Year-End Review and Awards Ceremony that drew a distinguished array of guests and supporters, underscoring the academy’s rising profile in youth football development.

 

The gala was graced by notable dignitaries including Bartholomew David, Chairman of the NFCA FCT Chapter; ASP Lawil Yohanna; ASP Amos Dalex; His Royal Highness Dargana Jimiko, the Jarmin Karu; Engr. Kolawole Ijaduola; and Sheye Taiwo, President of One Big Family Concepts. They were joined by a large turnout of proud parents and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the dedication, discipline, and progress of the academy’s young athletes.

 

According to the President of the Academy, Otunba Bob Oluwole, beyond the pageantry, the ceremony reflected a season defined by measurable success. On the competitive front, the academy secured a top-five finish in the regional youth league. Internally, performance metrics painted an even stronger picture, with 85 percent of players recording significant improvement in technical drills and tactical awareness. He attributed these gains to innovative coaching methods emphasizing positional discipline, mental toughness, and structured player development. Complementing the on-field progress was a community outreach initiative that raised funds for local youth sports equipment, reinforcing the academy’s commitment to social impact.

 

Looking to the future, the academy’s head coach, Otor Pizarro, outlined an ambitious strategic vision focused on refining raw talent and preparing players for transitions into professional club environments. He said while management continues to address logistical hurdles, including access to consistent evening training slots and the need for upgraded high-performance equipment, expansion remains a central priority. Plans are underway to introduce specialized technical clinics and establish a girls’ division, aimed at promoting inclusivity and broadening access to football development opportunities.

 

The evening reached an emotional high point during the presentation of awards, as standout players were honored for exceptional skill, commitment, and sportsmanship. In closing remarks, management expressed deep pride in the athletes and heartfelt appreciation to sponsors, parents, and partners whose continued support has positioned the academy as a vital pillar of the community.

 

As the season drew to a close, the prevailing mood was one of shared achievement and optimism, with high expectations set for an even more impactful year ahead.
