Liverpool and National U-23 striker Taiwo Awoniyi has doled out the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira to the National under 15 team,Future Eagles.
The lanky striker made this donation when he paid a visit to the team in Abuja where they are currently camping ahead of U16 International Dream Cup which will hold 12th – 16th June in the city of Sendai in Japan.
He also encouraged them not to lose faith but keep working.
‘I have been in your shoes before,played at the under 15 level and sit just the way you are sitting today, passed through these coaches which was pivotal in shaping my career, without them I may not have the opportunity I have today’
The future eagles representative,Tobi Adeleke thanked him for the gesture but most importantly for finding time to come and watch them play.
‘I want to thank you for the money you gave to us but it not about the money rather the efforts you make, leaving your busy schedule to come and watch us play is indescribable.
The team made up of 18 players will be leaving for Japan by weekend for the tournament
