Nigerian midfielder Ngọzi Okobi Okeoghene has announced the arrival of her first child, seven years after tying the knot.

Okobi, who played for Sweden's Eskiltuna, shared the joyful news on Twitter on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

The Super Falcons veteran married Mr. Okeoghene on December 9, 2017, in Delta State, and continued her illustrious career, representing Nigeria in:

- 2010 U17 Women's World Cup
- 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2022 WAFCON tournaments
- 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup
- 2012 FIFA U20 World Cup

Okobi has not disclosed the baby's gender.
