Super Falcons striker and six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, has officially completed her move from Bay FC to Saudi Women’s Premier League giants Al Hilal.

 

The 30-year-old Nigerian icon arrived in Riyadh earlier this week, passed her medical, and has now been unveiled by the club in what is being hailed as a major coup for the Saudi league’s growing reputation.

 

Oshoala will link up with fellow Nigerian internationals Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega, as Saudi Arabia continues to attract top-tier talent in its ambitious drive to elevate women’s football in the region.

 

This move marks the latest chapter in a glittering career that has seen Oshoala rise from the streets of Lagos — through Robo Queens and Rivers Angels — to the heights of Liverpool, Arsenal, Dalian Quanjian, Barcelona, Bay FC, and now Al Hilal.

 

During her time at Barcelona, Oshoala won multiple league titles and a historic UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy, becoming the first African woman to score in the competition’s final.

 

Speaking after her unveiling, Oshoala expressed her excitement:
