Super Falcons Midfielder Joins Ottawa Rapid FC
Super Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene has completed a transfer to Canadian club Ottawa Rapid FC, marking her return to active football after a brief hiatus following the birth of her first child.
Although details of the contract were not disclosed by Ottawa Rapid, the club's technical director, Kristina Kiss, expressed enthusiasm about Okobi-Okeoghene's addition to the team. Kiss praised the midfielder's experience, dynamic playing style, and ability to create scoring opportunities.
"Ngozi Sonia Okobi-Okeoghene is a dynamic, offensively minded player with a wealth of experience at the highest levels of the game," Kiss stated on the club's official website. "Her strong 1 vs. 1 attacking abilities make her a constant threat on the ball, and her sharp decision-making ensures she's always creating dangerous opportunities for her team."
The 31-year-old midfielder has previously played for Spanish Liga F club Levante Las Planas and has also had stints in the United States and Sweden.
