Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre’s grandfather Adedotun Plumptre has passed on to glory recently after arriving Nigeria earlier this month.

Adedotun Plumptre who migrated to the UK in his teens, visited Nigeria as usual for his yearly holidays; however gave up the ghost sometime last week during his visit this year.

Adedotun is the father of Ashleigh Plumtre’s dad and is the link to Ashleigh’s Nigerian ancestry, that qualified her to play for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

According to a younger sisbling of Pa Adedotun Plumptre on her Facebook handle some days ago, the Lagosian passed after a brief illness.

“My dearest brother, Harry Adedotun Plumptre left us this morning after a brief illness, to be with his maker. He will be sorely missed by the Plumptre, Osho, Akinola and Sobogun families worldwide. May he continue to rest in perfect peace IJMN. Amen.”

As at the time of this report there are no official statements from the Plumptre family, as regards the funeral arrangements for the burial of Harry Adedotun Plumptre.
