It was goals galore at The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo as The Super Eagles of Nigeria  whitewashed their counterparts from Sao Tome & Principe  6-0 on Sunday. 

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who scored a super hat trick (4 goals) during the first proved himself as the  hero again as he netted a hat trick (3 goals) in Sunday's encounter.

The Napoli striker  opened the floodgate of goals in the 14th minute before Ademola Lookman scored the second goal in the 28th minute.

After much pressure and couple of missed chances, The Super Eagles couldn't increase their lead further and thus ended the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Taiwo Awoniyi made it 3-0 almost shortly after restart  before Victor Osimhen made 4-0 from the spot after he was fouled in the penalty area by the Sao Tome goalie.

Osimhen completed his hat trick before substitute Samuel Chukwueze scored the 6th goal later in the game and handed Nigeria a well-deserved point.

It could be recalled that The  Nigerian Super Eagles defeated  Sao Tome & Principe 10-0 in Morocco in the reverse fixture of the 2023 African Cup of Nations tie.
