Former Super Eagles defender, Ben Iroha, has charged members of the senior National Team to ensure they did not drop points against Twanda in this weekend's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Iroha who featured for the Super Eagles during their maiden participation in the World Cup finals in USA 1994, disclosed that Nigeria's position on the group table is not cheering and demands that Super Eagles win as many as possible games beginning from the game in Kigali to nurse any hope of going to the World Cup.

"I think the game in Kigali is one the Super Eagles must not joke with. Its a game they must not drop a single point, not to talk of losing", Iroha said from his base in Texas, USA.

"Our position on the group C table is not good at all. It means we must have to win virtually all our games from now on, including the match this weekend against Rwanda in Kigali.

"Anything short of victory will do our World Cup qualification dream any good. Nigeria, with all her great footballing talents should not be found wanting in Mexico, USA and Canada when the World Cup starts next year", Iroha warned.

Super Eagles began camping in Kigali on Monday, 17 March, 2025, ahead of the game. 

The team, now under Eric Sekou Chelle, will next Tuesday trade tackles with Zimbabwe in yet another 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The match takes place at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
