Rangers International FC star Ifeanyi Onyebuchi expressed his excitement after making his debut for the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2025 Unity Cup in Brentford, London. The 24-year-old defensive stalwart was introduced in the final quarter-hour of the thrilling semi-final clash against Ghana, which the Super Eagles won 2-1.
Onyebuchi, one of ten Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) players called up by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, promised to make more impact in subsequent matches if given the opportunity. "Every player dreams of wearing the green and white jersey," Onyebuchi said. "Now that I've been given this opportunity, I aim to showcase my abilities and make my country proud".
