Students Call on Davido Over Alleged Poor Living Conditions at Adeleke University

Some students of Adeleke University in Ede, Osun State, have raised concerns over what they describe as poor living conditions within the institution.

In videos and messages circulating on social media, the students alleged that they are being subjected to conditions they described as “dehumanizing,” despite the high tuition fees reportedly paid by students.

The private university was founded by businessman Adedeji Adeleke, father of Afrobeats star Davido.

In one of the clips making the rounds online, a student appealed to the singer to intervene by speaking to the university’s management about the situation.

According to the complainant, students pay tuition fees of about ₦2.5 million annually but still struggle with access to some basic amenities.

“Adeleke University with suffering and smiling. They pay nothing less than ₦2.5 million per year to be constantly treated like animals. Their food and medical system is bad,” the message alleged.

The student also claimed that many students are afraid to speak publicly about the issue for fear of disciplinary action or expulsion.

As of the time of filing this report, the management of Adeleke University has not issued an official response to the allegations circulating online.
