Captain Nduka Junior was the hero of the Matchday 34 played at Remo stars stadium in the ongoing Startimes/NPFL 2024 League season.

The 99mins strike was all that Remo Stars needed to overcome their visitors Kano Pillars by a lone goal.

The Skye Blues had another chance to put up the lead in the 68′ minutes when Dayo Ojo chests the ball on the edge of the box, but was intercepted by the Kano Pillars goalkeeper, Mohammed Galadima.

In the dying moments of injury time, Nduka Junior emerged as the hero for Remo Stars. With nerves of steel, he latched onto a perfectly timed cross and buried the ball into the net.

The crowd erupted, and Remo Stars secured a thrilling 2-1 victory.

Junior Nduka’s late goal, however, gave the Daniel Ogunmodede’s side the maximum three points.

The victory moved Remo Stars up to second place in the league with 59 points, behind Rangers International and they will face Lobi Stars in their next match in Lafia, looking to continue their momentum and push for the league title.

Speaking with Journalists, the President of the club, Otunba Kunle Soname expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team since the commencement of the league.

Otunba Soname said the team had continued to meet the developmental objectives of the club and gave the assurance that the club would continue to hope for the best.
