Social Commentator Oriretan Honour Criticizes Pete Edochie Over Sons’ Marital Choices

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has found himself at the center of online debate following comments made by Nigerian social commentator, Oriretan Honour, in reaction to the recent second marriage of his son, Linc Edochie.
Linc, who was previously married to Amaka Paula Lincoln-Edochie, has reportedly tied the knot with a U.S.-based woman, Yinka Theisen — a mother of grown children, the youngest of whom recently finished high school. The news, initially reported by GistLover, has triggered a wave of reactions across social media, with many questioning the apparent trend of polygamy within the Edochie family.
Oriretan Honour, taking to social media, openly criticized Pete Edochie, accusing him of remaining silent as his sons depart from the values he is widely believed to uphold — particularly monogamy. Referencing both Linc’s recent marriage and Yul Edochie’s controversial second union with actress Judy Austin, Oriretan warned that the family’s growing association with polygamy could tarnish Pete Edochie’s longstanding image as a symbol of traditional family values.
“Pete Edochie, the way you’re not doing anything about your sons remarrying is unwise,” Oriretan wrote. “More unwise is how people aren’t done processing Yul’s second wife saga, now Linc has reportedly added a new wife in secret. They’re undoing your one-man-one-wife legacy. A wise man who can’t guide his home will lose public respect.”
He concluded by urging the Nollywood icon to take action: “You have 48 hours to rethink and end this polygamy trend ruining your home. Act fast. Be wise. Don’t be unwise.”
As of the time of this report, Pete Edochie has not responded publicly to the comments or the ongoing discourse surrounding his sons’ marital decisions.
