Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, don talk say Saudi Arabia no allow am enter Medina even though dem give am visa to perform 2025 Hajj.

 

Gumi land for Medina last Saturday around 10:30 p.m. with other clerics for inside Umza Air flight, but as dem reach the airport, Saudi immigration officers no gree make him enter.

 

Sheikh Gumi confirm the matter for Facebook on Monday. He talk say even though Saudi government give am Hajj visa, dem still bounce am for reasons wey relate to wetin he don talk before about world politics.

 

According to am:

“Because of some obvious reasons and my stand on world politics, Saudi authorities no comfortable say I dey come do Hajj, even after dem don give me visa.”

 

He come thank Nigerian government say dem don promise to carry the matter go meet Saudi authorities quick quick.

 

“Na the value of our democracy and freedom be this. I go now use this time face my health and my farm work. Make we continue to dey pray make all pilgrims return safely, and for peace and progress for Nigeria,” he talk.

 

Sheikh Gumi suppose be part of the group of Islamic scholars wey the Nigerian Hajj Commission (NAHCON) sponsor go Hajj this year. But now, he go miss the pilgrimage after the unexpected bounce for Medina.
