Popular Nigerian content creator and comedian, Adesokan Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has revealed the unusual reason behind his father's conversion from Islam to Christianity.

In a recently surfaced viral video from a conversation with a fellow content creator in Canada, Shank recounted that his father’s conversion was driven by hunger, not faith.

“I’m a Christian. Although I have a Muslim name — Saheed. My dad was a Muslim, but there was a time he was very hungry, and a church gave him food — then he converted to Christianity,” Shank said, laughing. “My dad is so cheap. We were just hungry.”

The candid and humorous revelation has since sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many praising Shank’s trademark ability to blend personal stories with comedy.
