South East University Games is a University games set for universities in Eastern Nigeria. 
It's proprietary body is South East University Games Association (SEUGA). SEUGA is an affiliate of National University Games Association (NUGA). 

The aim of South East University Games is to forster a continued University games that will offer a recognized sports engagement for Eastern Universities, creating an avenue for schools to tap into the potentials of sport's for projection, improving linkages and attracting investors and students.

The South East universities games council, during its 11th extra ordinary meeting at Nnamdi Azikwe University Awka, appointed Dr Obiukwu Felix, the director of sports Abia State University Uturu as their new acting president ahead of the forth-coming SEUGA games slated to hold at Unizik.

The SEUGA council election was slated to hold during the Unizik games by January 2024 but as a result of the demise of the Former Chairman and President of Nigeria University games Mr Emeka Ogbu, the council deemed it to hand-over the mantle of leadership over to Dr Obiukwu felix who was found fit enough to step in as the acting president to continue stirring the ship of SEUGA ahead of the 2024 Games. 

 Speaking after the nomination, the acting president presided over his first official meeting with Barr Benjamin Njoku as the acting Secretary and stated that being the president comes with alot of workload ,expectations & he promise with his team to show themselves worthy with tremendous hardwork to leave a trademark because to whom much is given, much is expected as he is a president with action& result orientated mentality. 

Abia State university will be taking part in the forth coming UNIZIK South East University games by January 2024.
