Nigerian rapper Ruggedman has taken a firm stance against domestic abuse, advocating for respect and safety in relationships. During an interview on TVC’s ‘Your View’, the rapper stated that he would rather end a relationship than resort to violence if a partner pushes his boundaries.

Ruggedman explained that he clearly communicates his triggers and boundaries to his partners from the start. If these boundaries are crossed, he prefers to “call it quits” rather than react aggressively. He emphasized, “I always tell any woman I intend to date that if she pushes me to the level where I think of hitting her, then it’s over… I would rather walk away than hit the person.”

He shared a personal experience where he broke up with a lady who pushed him in public during a disagreement, despite his plea to resolve the issue privately. According to Ruggedman, this incident crossed his boundaries and demonstrated disrespect.

Addressing the broader issue of domestic abuse, Ruggedman highlighted that many people ignore red flags in relationships due to material benefits or fear of public opinion. He urged individuals to prioritize their safety and well-being, saying, “It’s better to leave because if you die in an abusive relationship, people will still talk.”
