At the closing ceremony of the RSDF Under 18 Football Championship, the President of the Foundation, Barrister Paul Edeh poured encomium on all the participants and urged them to be deliberate in their chosen career. 

The championship was the maiden edition but it left sweet taste in the mouths of the finalists, some unforgettable memories as well as opened opportunities for greater prospects for players who were selected in the 25-man pool of top performers. 

Coaches who won individual awards were also duly recognised with  life-changing opportunities. 

Here's a rundown of all the rewards:
1. Winners (Girls) : Honey Badgers - Giant Trophy + Cash prize of N500,000 + 25 Gold Medals

2. Second Place (Girls) : Basic Queens - Trophy + Cash prize of N150,000 + 25 Silver Medals

3. Winners (Boys) : Naija Ratels Boyz - Giant Trophy + Cash Prize of N500,000 + 25 Gold Medals

4. Second Place (Boys) :  Sporting Dreams - Trophy + N150,000 + 25 Silver Medals

5. First place teams received 10 balls each 

6. Second place teams received 5 balls each

 *Caveat* : The coaches  of Honey Badgers and Naija Ratels Boyz who both emerged as winners of the awards but have already obtained training and certification from the NIS are to receive scholarships for the CAF C Licence Course. 

• Players who have been selected in the 25-man pool of top performers will commence training program at the Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment. 

• Playing tours will be organized for this set of players across the country and abroad. 

• RSDF will engage in proper consultation with the clubs of these players before the training program. 

• The Organising Committee of the RSDF - all made up of trained football coaches have been saddled with the responsibility to organise the training program.
