Rofiat Imuran Joins London City Lionesses After Successful Stint in France
Nigerian defender Rofiat Imuran has signed a three-year contract with Women’s Championship club London City Lionesses, making the move in October 2024 after a strong spell at Stade de Reims.
The 20-year-old previously impressed in France, making 30 league appearances and scoring eight goals for Reims. Before that, she showcased her talent on the international stage, competing in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and earning a spot in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
London City manager Jocelyn Prêcheur praised Imuran’s qualities, highlighting her speed, left-footed ability, and attacking mindset. With her wealth of experience at a young age, Imuran is set to bolster the Lionesses’ defense as they push for success in the English second tier.
