Matchday Seven of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership delivered goals, drama and decisive results across the various centres, with Rivers Angels recording the biggest win of the round and Bayelsa Queens sealing an emphatic away victory.

 

In Lagos, Dannaz Ladies claimed a hard-fought 2–1 win over Ahudiyannem Queens. Amarachi Anusillem broke the deadlock in the 58th minute before Chizaram Onyenze drew the visitors level in the 71st minute. Adewunmi Akintola then struck late, scoring in the 87th minute to hand Dannaz Ladies all three points.

 

At the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Abia Angels edged Delta Queens 1–0, courtesy of a 55th-minute strike from Blessing Okon in a closely contested encounter.

 

Rivers Angels were ruthless in Port Harcourt, cruising to a commanding 5–0 victory over Heartland Queens. Ramotalahi Kareem starred with a superb hat-trick, scoring in the 14th, 33rd and 58th minutes, while Abasiofon Uwah added two more goals in the 22nd and 38th minutes to complete the emphatic win.

 

In Ile-Ogbo, Osun Babes and Sunshine Queens played out a goalless draw in a tightly fought contest, with both sides unable to find a breakthrough.

 

Remo Stars Ladies maintained their impressive form in Ikenne, securing a 1–0 victory over FC Robo Queens. Cynthia Mega scored the decisive goal in the 73rd minute to extend Remo Stars Ladies’ strong run this season.

 

At Iyamho, Confluence Queens and Nasarawa Amazons settled for a 1–1 draw. Seember Emmanuel put the hosts ahead in the 19th minute, but Omotoke Ogunfuwa salvaged a point for Nasarawa Amazons with a late equaliser in the 88th minute.

 

Bayelsa Queens produced one of the standout performances of the round with a convincing 4–1 away win over Adamawa Queens in Makwada. Blessing Ilivieda opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Omoh Afensemi briefly restored parity in the 20th minute. Janet Akekeromowei regained the lead for Bayelsa Queens in the 36th minute, while Kindness Ifeanyi sealed the victory with goals in the 45th and 66th minutes.

 

In Benin City, Edo Queens defeated Pacesetter Queens 2–1. Saidat Adeniyi gave Edo Queens an early lead in the 7th minute, Aminat Adebisi equalised for the visitors in the 51st minute, but Doosuur Atume netted the winning goal seven minutes later.

 

The final match of the round in Uyo saw Ibom Angels edge Ekiti Queens 2–1. Happiness Agboye opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Seun Fakunle equalised for Ekiti Queens in the 30th minute, before Wami Georgeline struck in the 80th minute to secure maximum points for the hosts.

 

With the season gathering momentum, Matchday Seven once again highlighted the growing competitiveness and quality of the NWFL Premiership as clubs intensify their push for honours and continental qualification.
