Nigerian youths will soon have another great opportunity to participate in a unique Football Tournament to be known as the Renewed Hope Cup.

The competition is being organized by Grassroot Sports and Marketing Limited in partnership  with the Renewed Hope Initiative office in the Federal Capital Territory. 

This effort is aimed at further popularizing the Renewed Hope Initiative of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, President, Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Renewed Hope Cup is a project designed for the Renewed Hope Initiative FCT coordinated by Honourable Abdullahi Adamu Candido  but the project will have a National coverage and participation by Youths from the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The tournament is planned to create empowerment opportunities for the Nigerian youths and others. Details are expected to be released in due course.

Speaking on behalf the Grassroot Sports and Marketing Limited, Consultants of the project, the Tournament Director, Mansur Abdullahi said that Football  Teams from 26 States and the Federal Capital Territory have already indicated their interest but added that there were certain criteria that participating teams are required to fullfil before acceptance as representatives of their State.

The project is tentatively scheduled to hold in the Second quarter of 2026.
