As the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women's Football League is set to kick off, a new team will be making its debut and experiencing what the terrain looks like. 

Remo Stars ladies will be making their first appearance in the league after so many periods of tries.

African soccer ruling body early in the year made it compulsory for the teams that wanted to participate in the inter-club competition to have a female team.

Remo Stars has been consistent in the continent for the past two seasons, playing in the Confederation Cup in 2022 and the Champions League in 2023.

The organiser of the Nigeria Women's Football League has confirmed Remo Stars ladies as the new team that will play in the league this season.

"Remo Stars launches a women’s team! 

A big club from Nigeria established women’s football into the club. They will start playing in the first division, the NWFL Premiership! ", the statement said.
