Rangers International F.C. coach and Super Eagles assistant coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, expressed disappointment following his team’s 2-1 home defeat to Niger Tornadoes in an NPFL matchday 20 fixture. The loss came as a shock to fans and the team, who were looking to consolidate their position as reigning champions.

In his post-match remarks, Ilechukwu described the defeat as unexpected, citing the team’s inability to convert numerous goal-scoring opportunities.

“I told my players before the start of the game that it was going to be very difficult, and it turned out to be exactly that. We created a lot of chances but only managed to convert one, while our opponents capitalized on the two chances they had,” he stated.

Despite the setback, Ilechukwu remained optimistic about the team’s prospects for the season. He urged Rangers’ supporters to remain steadfast in their support, promising that the team would bounce back stronger.

 

“This team is the best in the league, and I assure everyone that by the end of the season, we shall be celebrated,” Ilechukwu emphasized, reassuring fans of brighter days
