The media briefing to announce the 2024 School Sports Festival in the FCT, originally planned for tomorrow, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 22nd, 2024. Please take note of this change.

The preliminary phase of the festival will kick off at eight zones: Abaji, Kwali, Tungan-maje, Gwagwalada, Kuje Tudun Wada, Karshi, and Dutse, starting this Thursday, February 22nd, and concluding on March 2nd, 2024.

Additionally, there will be a break from March 4th to March 9th, 2024.

The grand finale, showcasing the Zonal Champions of various sporting events, is scheduled to take place from March 11th to March 14th.

We are pleased to announce that the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bankure, will inaugurate the finale, while the Senior Minister, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, will grace the closing ceremony.

Furthermore, the organizing committee has formally requested approval from the Federal Ministry of Sports Development for the utilization of the Main Bowl of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, and its adjacent facilities.
