The Nigeria Police don arrest one big oga for Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Mr. Jamilu Isa Yankwashi, for inside Abuja over wetin dem call criminal conspiracy and impersonation. Dem say Jamilu dey claim say na him be president of Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN), wey belong to Chief Emmanuel Olabode.

 

Police wey come from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) office catch am early Monday morning, May 26, 2025, for FCDA Secretariat, 3rd floor conference hall, Area 11, Abuja.

 

Journalists see the arrest warrant wey carry number CR/392/25. The warrant come from Chief Magistrate Court 1 for Karu, Abuja, and e read:

 

“Warrant of arrest of person accused to all police officers, whereas Jamilu Yankwashi of FCT Abuja stand charge with offence of criminal conspiracy and impersonation. You are hereby directed to arrest the said Jamilu Yankwashi. Dated this 23rd day of May 2025.”

 

Mr. Henry Ifeanyi Mbadiwe, wey be Registrar General of CIPMN, confirm say police don arrest Jamilu. He talk say:

 

“Yes, dem don arrest Jamilu this morning for FCDA hall wey him wan use do 5-day training and induction for people wey him dey deceive say dem dey join CIPMN. Even the hall dey almost empty.”

 

Police arrest am for two big offences: criminal conspiracy and impersonation. Right now, dem don carry am go Police Headquarters.

 

According to Mbadiwe, Jamilu, wey be FCDA staff, don dey claim say na him be president of CIPMN for years. He dey use that lie collect public funds and give fake licenses. Even after President Muhammadu Buhari dissolve their council that year, him and Mrs. Victoria Okoronkwo still dey waka up and down as if dem still be council members.

 

“Jamilu even lie give police, deceive Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, and even carry the matter reach office of National Assembly Speaker, Minister of Defence and DG of Bureau of Public Procurement,” Mbadiwe talk.

 

He also talk say Jamilu dey collect government money enter one Zenith Bank account wey no belong to the real council, but carry CIPMN name.

 

Mbadiwe end by saying: “This arrest show say anybody wey feel say dem fit use power and connection take break law go still collect. CIPMN na federal institute wey National Assembly create, no be anybody personal business. The law slow, but e dey come.”

 

The institute beg the Inspector General of Police make sure say Jamilu no use style rubbish the police work, and make them follow this case reach the end so that justice go prevail for Nigerians.
