Police Catch Six Suspects for Alleged Sale of 8-Year-Old Boy for N3m
Nasarawa State Police Command don arrest six people wey dem suspect say dem traffic and sell one eight-year-old boy for N3 million.
According to information wey security analyst, Zagazola Makama, share for Monday through him X page, the arrest come after police get intelligence say one missing pikin from Nasarawa dey with operatives of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for Abia State.
The pikin, wey dem identify as Jeremiah Bikwo, police recover am on January 14 and put am under protective care. Jeremiah tell police say na from Loko area for Nasarawa Local Government Area e come from, and this help detectives trace him family go Ogobo community for the same LGA.
As investigation continue, police extend their search reach Abia State, where dem discover say the boy allegedly sell for N3 million. This development lead to the arrest of the suspects on January 17.
Four of the people wey police catch na residents of Abia State. Dem include Chilaka Calista Nneka, 33; Chigbu Cynthia, 36; Michael Ibeh Chioma, 52; and Victoria Ositadinma, 53.
Two other suspects wey police arrest come from Nasarawa State. Dem be Alhassan Bama, 35, from Ogobo Village, and Jacob Jonah, 38, from Olegefe Village.
Police sources talk say the suspects don confess to the roles wey dem play for the crime, while police still dey look for other people wey dem believe say involve for the trafficking network.
Authorities confirm say Jeremiah dey safe and remain under protective custody as police continue full investigation into the matter.
