Man Dem Arrest For Benin City Becos Him Kpai Him Wife, After Dem Do Big Wedding Just 8 Months Ago
Edo State Police Command don arrest Kelvin Izekor say him kpai him 38-year-old wife, Success Izekor, for dem house for Upper Mission Extension, Benin City.
Wahala happen on February 22, 2025. According to people wey see am, dem say Kelvin use cutlass hit him wife for head, give am deep cut wey make am kpai.
Dem say dem marry since June 2024, and neighbors don see say him dey beat him wife before.
Edo police spokesperson, Moses Yamu, confirm the matter for statement wey dem release on Thursday. He say angry people nearly kpai Kelvin before police come save am.
"On 22/02/2025 around 10pm, dem get information say Kelvin Izekor for No. 50 Upper Mission Extension, Benin City, don kpai him wife, Success Izekor, wey be 38 years old, and people wan kpai am," the statement read.
"Police from Aduwawa Division sharp sharp go there, dem see the woman dey lie down for blood with big cut for her head. Police struggle before dem fit calm down the angry people, save the man, and carry am go station for investigation. Dem rush the woman go hospital, but dem say she don kpai."
Police don confirm say dem don charge Kelvin go court and dem don put am for prison.
Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, talk say she no happy with the way people dey beat dem wife and husband, and she promise say dem go do proper investigation.
