Police don carry one 16-year-old girl (name withheld) go before Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court over allegation say she threaten to kill another 15-year-old girl because of boyfriend matter.

 

The defendant, wey dem no mention her address, face two charges — threat to life and breach of public peace. But when dem read the charges give her, she plead not guilty.

 

Prosecutor, Insp. Friday Mameh, tell the court say the incident happen on February 20 around 9:00 p.m. for Khalakuta Jegba Quarters, Badagry, Lagos.

 

According to am, the girl allegedly use razor blade take cut the complainant for face, injure am well well because she accuse the girl say she snatch her boyfriend.

 

“The defendant use razor blade cut the complainant face so that she go leave her boyfriend for her. After the incident, dem arrest her and hand her over to police for prosecution,” the prosecutor talk.

 

He add say the way the defendant behave cause serious panic and disturbance for the area.

 

The prosecutor also tell the court say the offence break Sections 230 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

 

Chief Magistrate, Mr A. J. Aina, later grant the girl bail of N1 million with two sureties wey go stand for her with the same amount.

 

The magistrate talk say one of the sureties must be civil servant wey no dey below Grade Level 12.

 

The court adjourn the case till March 30 for mention.
