Enugu's Phantom Eagles soared to victory in the highly anticipated 2024 Dreamland Embassy of Hungary Cup, edging out Enyimba's under 18 side with a decisive solitary goal. The exhilarating final unfolded at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on March 28, 2024, captivating football enthusiasts with its intense showdown.

The Phantom Eagles' path to triumph was marked by a stellar performance
throughout the tournament, culminating in a hard-fought victory in the final. Notably, they navigated past formidable
opponents, including a notable triumph
over Dreamland Football Academy in the
semifinals, showcasing their prowess on
the field.

Organized in collaboration between the
Embassy of Hungary and the Abia State
government, the Dreamland Abia State
Embassy of Hungary Cup 2024 served as a scouting platform to unearth and
nurture football talent. With its inception
on March 23, 2024, the tournament
attracted 12 teams from diverse regions
of Nigeria, adding a dynamic flair to the
competition.

In a testament to the tournament's
objective of talent discovery, scouts from participating teams identified six standout players for further evaluation. These selections underscored the depth of talent on display and the potential for future success among emerging footballers.

Addressing the gathering, Abia State
Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, commended the
organizers for their commitment to
fostering youth development through
sports. He reiterated the state's
unwavering support for initiatives aimed
at nurturing talent and encouraged players to persevere in their pursuit of excellence.

His Excellency, Mr. Luarand Endreffy, the
Hungarian Ambassador to Nigeria,
extended gratitude to the Abia State

The Commissioner of Sports and Youth
Development, Mr. Nwaobilor Ananaba,
