The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Awka South Chapter on Saturday, 3rd May, 2025 inaugurated the new Executives for the Christian association.

The service which was officiated by the PFN Anambra State Chapter Chairman, Bishop Moses Ezedebego and the wife Reverend Mrs Ruth Blessing Ezedebego took place at the Dominant Throne International Church, Awka with  its theme as "Making Things Happen".

Bishop Ezedebego in his homily while speaking on the topic, 'Understanding Kingdom Leadership,' encouraged all pastors and the newly elected executives to lead with the fear of God. The clergy noted that the word of God should be their standard while emphasizing that leadership position is not a title but a responsibility in the kingdom of God, he charged the Chairman to be courageous while also stating that pentecostal members should be able to show good example in doing the work of God.

On her part, the wife of Bishop Ezedebego, Rev. Mrs Ruthblessing Ezedebego harped on the importance of support for the newly appointed executives, especially by the women. Rev. Ezedebego stressed that leaders can not succeed without the support of their followers, reminding them that leadership is about showing love and commitment in order to carry out the work of God effectively.

She emphasized that the love exhibited by those in leadership positions should be real love by reverencing God and praying for his grace and will in order to make meaningful impact while in their positions of authority.

In his welcome address cum acceptance speech, the newly appointed Chairman of the PFN Awka South Chapter, Rev. Okechukwu Emmanuel Okoroji, husband to UNIZIK Scholar, Pst. Dr. Nma Okoroji, expressed gratitude to the association for the honour bestowed on him with the new position. Rev. Okoroji while calling for support promised to serve with integrity, humility and prupose.

The cleric averred that with the mantra, "Making Things Happen",  the new season is an opportunity to make a difference through the glory, grace and power of the Lord Almighty.

Rev. Okoroji said: "I stand before you today with deep humility and heartfelt gratitude to accept the responsibility bestowed upon me as the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Awka South Chapter, Anambra State. I return all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, the builder of His Church, for His grace and mercy upon us all. I sincerely thank every one of you for your trust, support, and prayers. 

"This assignment is not one I take lightly, and by God’s grace, I will serve with integrity, humility, and purpose. As we enter this new chapter, our mantra is “Making Things Happen.” This is not just a slogan; it is a divine call to action. We are a fellowship on a mission—to unite the body of Christ, empower our ministers, strengthen our churches, engage our communities, and advance the Kingdom of God with visible impact.

"In this new season, as people who know our God, we will be strong, and we will make things happen—for His glory, by His grace, and through His power," Rev. Okoroji stated.

Rev. Okoroji who served in the capacity as financial director for the outgoing Executives also appreciated the qualitative leadership exhibited by the immediate past chairman, Bishop Ikenna Afoenyi and the wife, Reverend Ifeyinwa Afoenyi in ensuring that PFN thrive better.  

Highpoints of the inauguration was the administering of oath of service on the new Executives; presentation of certificate and recognition of Pastor (Dr.) Mrs Nma Okoroji as the coordinator of the Women Wing of PFN Awka South Chapter as well as awards and gift presentations to the members of the past Executives.
