The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the Edo governorship election outcome, held on September 21, 2024. Acting National Chairman Amb. Umar Damagum announced this in Abuja, citing irregularities.

INEC declared Monday Okpebholo (APC) the winner with 291,667 votes, followed by Asue Ighodalo (PDP) with 247,274 votes, and Olumide Akpata (Labour Party) with 22,763 votes.

Damagum insisted Edo State voters chose Ighodalo and demanded INEC retract its announcement. He alleged APC collaborated with INEC and police to manipulate the process.

The PDP is taking legal action. For updates, consider checking reputable news sources or online platforms for the latest developments.
