Faces and voices from across Nigeria were captured during the recent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention held in Abuja on Sunday, April 30, 2026 — an event many attendees have described as one of the most professionally organised political gatherings in the country’s history.

 

The convention, chaired by Okezie Ikpeazu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, brought together delegates from all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the six geopolitical zones. Among the key decisions, Alhaji Abdurahman Mohammed emerged as National Chairman, while Samuel Anyanwu was elected National Secretary, alongside other national executives.

In his address, Wike reaffirmed that the party’s doors remain open to members who had previously defected, urging reconciliation and unity.
