Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, one-half of the popular P-Square duo, has criticized upcoming artists who smoke in their music videos.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, questioned why new acts believe they must smoke on camera. He noted that many artists start smoking even before the music video begins.

"Dear new acts. Abeg, who tell una say whenever una dey shoot visualizer video, say una must dey smoke Igbo for camera," he wrote in Pidgin English.

Okoye advised them to at least eat properly if they must smoke heavily, pointing out that they are already "looking sick." He also dismissed the notion that smoking is "swag" or makes them "look fly."

He went on to criticize their priorities, saying, "You dey smoke around 50k dey battle Indomie of 1k without egg."

This is not the first time Okoye has given advice online. Last year, he shared a humorous take on how to deal with online trolls, suggesting people should first listen to their frustrations before insulting and blocking them.
