Senior pastor Korede Komaiya has stirred widespread reactions after declaring that he possesses a unique spiritual capacity to raise billionaires through covenant giving.

 

Speaking during a recent sermon, the cleric emphasized what he described as the principles of “kingdom economy,” criticizing individuals who rely on online content that questions church teachings on giving. According to him, such perspectives often misrepresent spiritual truths.

 

“I am among the few pastors on earth with the oil of raising billionaires,” Komaiya stated, underscoring his belief in a divine mandate tied to financial prosperity.

 

He further explained that becoming a “covenant practitioner” requires consistent and intentional giving, warning that failure to do so could lead to prolonged financial struggles. “If you don’t move to be a covenant practitioner, begging will be unlimited,” he said.

 

The pastor also linked giving patterns to spiritual devotion, stressing that the amount, timing, and consistency of offerings reflect a believer’s commitment to God. “It is the amount you give, how you give it, when you give it—the consistency that demonstrates your heart for God,” he added.

 

Komaiya maintained that generosity is a key expression of faith, noting that giving serves as a measure of one’s love for God. He also attributed financial stagnation among some individuals to what he described as “unfaithfulness” in giving.

 

The remarks have since generated mixed reactions across social media, with supporters endorsing his teachings on prosperity and faith, while critics question the theological and ethical implications of linking financial success so directly to religious giving.
