The founder of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has claimed that divine intervention played a key role in the political victories of former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

 

Speaking during a church service, the cleric recounted how Wike allegedly faced intense legal and political challenges at a time when court rulings appeared to be going against him.

 

According to Ibiyeomie, Wike had lost at both the High Court and the Court of Appeal, and there were fears that the ruling of the Supreme Court of Nigeria would also be unfavourable.

 

“I called him, and he was shaking on the phone. I said, ‘Don’t fear, don’t panic. God will step in.’ He said, ‘Papa, I believe,’” the pastor said.

 

Ibiyeomie said he later took part in a church programme known as “Five Nights of Glory,” which he believes preceded a change in Wike’s legal fortunes.

 

The cleric further alleged that the Chief Judge later reassigned the case and replaced the Supreme Court panel, eventually leading to a judgment that favoured Wike.

 

He also claimed that he quietly donated millions of naira and prayed intensely for the former governor, asking God to intervene both for Wike and to affirm his faith publicly.

 

Ibiyeomie additionally alleged that during Wike’s re-election bid, there were plans to manipulate the electoral process in favour of another candidate, Biokpomabo Awara.

 

According to the pastor, what he described as divine intervention disrupted the alleged scheme, ultimately ensuring Wike’s victory at the polls.
