Ozalla Football Academy, holders of Neros/Anambra FA Cup have been handed a tough fixture after the draw for the second edition of Anambra FA Chairman's U17 Boys Tournament was conducted in Awka on Tuesday.

Ozalla will face rivals, Obosi Utd on Friday, 15 March, at the Awka City Stadium at 12noon while De-Wilson FC, Okpuno-Awka and Solar Spiders will clash in the second match of the opening fixtures on Friday.

24 teams will take part in the tournament which draw was held at the Anambra FA Secretariat, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.

Conducting the draws, Raphael Nweke, Acting Secretary of Anambra State Football Association, revealed that the aim of the tournament is to 'extend football development and discovery of abundant talents at the grassroots'.

Nweke reminded the participating teams to make discipline their watch word during and after games. Ho told the teams officials to ensure that their teams Behaved well and play according to the rules.

The 24 participating teams were drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.

The tournament carries a winning prize of N500, 000 for the overall winners while the runners-up will smile home with N300, 000 just as the third placed team will receive N100, 000.

The tournament shall kick off on Friday 15th March 2024 at the Awka City Stadium.

1. Ozalla FA Awada Vs Obosi United by 12noon.
2. De-wilson FC Okpuno vs Solar Spiders FC Nibo by 2pm.
