Dominant Ozalla Football Academy came fully back in their potentials and quality with an emphatic 2-0 defeat or rivals, Peace FC in Friday's Nationwide League One, NLO, Awka Center group A fixture, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The win, Ozalla FA's second in their three games so far, completely changed the dynamics of the group with the race for the top spot now open.

Ozalla now have six points, one point behind leaders St Nwadinso, who have seven points from four matches. Campos FC also has six points to place third. Campos, like Ozalla, have played three games with a game in hand respectively.

Peace FC succumbed to the ferocious pressure of Ozalla in the opening half with a defender turning the ball into his own net as Ozalla led 1-0 going into the half time break.

Ozalla FA, winners of NEROS Pharmaceuticals/Anambra FA Cup in 2023, doubled their in the second period after Michael Chidera converted from the penalty spot after a Peace FC defender was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Ikenna Osueke, sole financier of Ozalla FA was a relieved man after game.

"The team did well. They controlled the game from the start and got a good win, with a clean sheet.

"I think the group is now open especially with result of the first match where the group leaders, St Nwadinso, lost 1-0 to Diana Emi FC.

"We need to work harder. The competition is becoming tougher and of course, the players confidence is back with the performance today", Osueke said.

There are three matches still remaining in the fixtures as the playoffs is expected to come to an end on 12 May, 2025.

In the other matches decided same Friday, Heartland Feeders defeated A&A Kiviasennus 1-0 just as Diana Emi edged St Nwadinso 1-0.
