*Over 300 Amateur Golfers Eye Captain's Cup Trophy

The 2025 Captain's Cup golf tournament is set to tee off at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja, with over 300 amateur golfers vying for the top prize. The trophy was won by 18-handicap player Martin Stephen Kolo last year.
The organizing committee unveiled the program of events at a press briefing, revealing a packed six-day schedule. Chairman Ben Okoyen assured journalists that all arrangements have been made for a free and uninterrupted tournament.
The event, tagged "Tiger Bows Out," will feature various categories, including caddies and staff, men's and women's divisions, and a pro competition. The closing day will be attended by dignitaries, including the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede.
Club Captain Ibrahim Babayo commended the organizing committee and assured participants that the club environment is conducive, despite recent developments. Babayo, who will be leaving office this month, expressed his desire to be remembered as a leader who took tough decisions for the benefit of the club.
