Orseer Ikyaator, President of the Gboko City Chiefs Basketball Team in Benue State, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade on their appointments as Chairman and Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Speaking during the Awards and Gala Night of the Gboko City Chiefs Basketball Team in Abuja, where the team was celebrated for securing third place in the recently concluded Nigeria Premier Basketball League, Ikyaator praised the duo’s expertise and leadership.

“I congratulate Shehu Dikko on his appointment, recognizing his vast potential to drive positive change in Nigeria’s sports sector,” Ikyaator said. He also lauded Bukola Olopade, describing him as a trusted and hardworking individual with a stellar track record in the private sector.

“Under Dikko’s leadership, the NSC is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting sports development and empowering young athletes in Nigeria. The combination of Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade is a perfect match for driving growth and transformation in the sports industry,” he added.

Ikyaator further emphasized the willingness of the Gboko City Chiefs Basketball Team to collaborate with the NSC at all levels to foster sports development across the nation.

“The team is self-funded through the Orseer Ikyaator Foundation, which is dedicated to giving back to society through sports development and youth empowerment,” he explained.

The Orseer Ikyaator Foundation was officially unveiled during the Gboko City Chiefs Awards and Gala Night, showcasing the club’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in sports.
