Organisers have revealed that a total of N2m will be won in prize money as the KM Lubricants All Stars Football Tournament gets set to made a giant debut, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

This is coming just weeks after the maiden edition of the Anambra All Stars Competition which the State FA Chairman and former Nigeria international, 'General' Chikelue Iloenyosi, pioneered.

This time, KM Lubricants have taken it upon themselves to keep the tempo high as regards ex players coming together to exercise, reunite and compete in a most entertaining atmosphere.

Jonathan Igwe, a former Team Manager of FC Ifeanyi Ubah and a retired referee and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the KM Lubricants All Stars Tournament, told reporters at a media chat that overall winners of the tournament will receive N1m with the runners-up collecting half a million naira (N500, 000).

Igwe further revealed that third place winners will be rewarded to the tune of N300, 000 while N200, 000 will go to the fourth placed team.

Igwe further disclosed that all participating clubs will receive a set of jerseys while all eight (8) quarter finalists will receive a cash boost of N100, 000 each.

"This tournament is  for players of 35 years and above. It's for those who see football as a way of keeping healthy living,  socialising and networking", Igwe said at the press conference. 

"The tournament is to hold in four (4) centers across the state. Registration is N20,000 and those who successfully completed their registration formalities will be entitled to a set of team jerseys and an opportunity to win grand prizes of N1,000,000 (1st), N500,000 (2nd), N300,000 (3rd) and N200,000 (4th).

"Registration closes on 13th October, 2023 while screening of teams will hold on 14th", the Organising committee boss said.
