Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, don show serious anger over the way some people still dey do open cattle grazing for Ibadanland, say the thing no just illegal but totally unacceptable.

 

For statement wey the Chief Press Secretary to the monarch, Mr Olugbemiga Ayoade, release on Monday for Ibadan, Oba Ladoja talk say he yarn this matter after meeting with members of Olubadan-in-Council and executives of Ijaye Farm Settlers Association for inside him palace.

 

The Olubadan make am clear say open cattle grazing don already ban for Ibadanland and for Oyo State as a whole, and anybody wey still dey do am dey break the law.

 

He warn all cattle rearers make dem stop the practice sharp-sharp, say anybody wey disobey the law go face arrest and prosecution.

 

“Any person wey dem catch say e dey break Oyo State law wey ban open cattle grazing go get arrested and dem go carry am go court,” the Olubadan talk.

 

The traditional ruler also cry out over the wahala wey some herdsmen dey cause farmers, say the palace no go tolerate insecurity and lawlessness again.

 

“We no go fold our hands dey watch herdsmen kill farmers, attack their pikin, beat their wives and destroy their farms wey be their source of food and survival,” Oba Ladoja say.

 

He also advise Ibadan Mogajis, Baales and other traditional title holders make dem open their eyes well for their areas and protect lives and property, warn say any failure fit attract punishment from the palace.

 

Oba Ladoja still call on all Ibadan residents make dem quickly report any suspicious movement, kidnappers or criminals to security agencies.

 

Meanwhile, Chairman of Ijaye Farm Settlers Association, Mr David Olatunji, lament say attacks on farmers for the area don increase.

 

“Our members dey suffer attacks, our pikin dey danger, our wives dey assaulted and our farms dey destroyed,” he say.

 

Olatunji add say all their efforts to get protection don fail, and beg the Olubadan and Oyo State Government make dem come to their rescue.

 

“We dey beg for support and protection to save us from these destructive activities,” he conclude.
