Raphael Onyedika has spoken of Super Eagles players resolve to win Thursday's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Lesotho, describing it as a 'must win match', Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The 22-year-old Club Brugge of Belgium midfielder spoke on the sidelines of the Super Eagles final training Tuesday evening inside the magnificent Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, venue of Thursday's match.

"It was a good (training) session. It's nice to be back and we're looking forward to the game against Lesotho", starts the former Midtjylland man who cut his football teeth with Ozalla Football Academy, Onitsha.

Onyedika has three caps under his belt and is looking forward for glory on Thursday should Coach Paseiro give him the All clear for his fourth cap on Thursday.

"It's a must win game. We must put all our efforts together to win the game because our fans and every Nigerian is getting on us, supporting us to win.

"So, we need to put all our efforts to win the game and get the three points", Onyedika sounded.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup finals will be jointly hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.

It will be the very first time the competition would be hosted by three counties.

After Thursday's clash against Crocodiles of Lesotho, Super Eagles will fly out on Friday to Butare, Rwanda, where they will confront Warriors of Zimbabwe in yet another 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
