One Ondo State Chief Magistrates’ Court wey sit down for Akure don order say make dem keep three men for prison wey dem accuse say dem try kidnap one woman for Akoko area of di state.

Di suspects — Bankole Kayode (32), Akande Michael (33) and Abu Dada (31) — face two-count charge of conspiracy and attempted kidnapping.

According to di prosecutor, I.O. Osobu, di three men allegedly try kidnap one Mrs. Julianah Shaba around 1:00 a.m. for her house wey dey Olorunsogo Street, Iboropa-Akoko for Akoko North-East Local Government Area on May 12, 2025.

Di charge sheet talk say di offence break Section 4 of di Ondo State Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Abduction Law of 2010.

For court on Monday, dem no allow di suspects enter plea.

Prosecutor come beg di court make dem keep di three men for Olokuta Correctional Centre until Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) check di case give legal advice.

But di defence lawyer, Akinde Ayomide, oppose di move, say di reason wey dem wan hold dem no strong reach.

After hearing both sides, Chief Magistrate Damilola Sekoni rule say make dem remand di suspects and send di case file go DPP for review.

Di matter don carry over go September 1, 2025 for mention.
