Ifeanyi Ojukwu, Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, ANSFA, has sent out a warm congratulatory message to the newly elected four members of the Anambra State Football Association as well as the members of the Local Football Councils in the state, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Ojukwu described the members as worthy of their elections into the temple of football development, promotion and administration in the state.

On Wednesday, the ANSFA Local Football Council LFC was held at the East End Hotel, Aroma Junction, Awka. 18 Local Football Council chairmen were elected with Orumba South, Ekwusigo LGAs amongst three absentee LGAs during the peaceful, credible and successful election.

That was followed by the by-election for four four members to fill the vacant positions in the Board of the ANSFA which was conducted on Thursday by the Hon Barrister Prince Darlington Uche, PhD led Anambra Football Association Electoral Committee.

The successful election completes the 9-member ANSFA Board which had operated with five active members since the coming on board of the current Chikelue Iloenyosi-led ANSFA Board.

Ojukwu while welcoming the new members on board, said their victory in polls was a testament of their quality, credibility, experience and ability to deliver.

He charged them to work harmoniously with the 'De General', Chikelue Iloenyosi, in a bid to deliver on the 'Renewed Hope Agenda' of the Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State as it affects sports and football in particular.

"I must first congratulate all the Local Football Council Chairmen as well as the four new ANSFA Board members who were elected on Wednesday and Thursday respectively", Ojukwu began when he spoke to Exclusivenews.com.ng from Morocco.

"I'm pleased that the newly elected members at both LFC and Board level are men and women of impeccable character, experience and people who sleep Football, wake up Football and even eat and drink football.

"With your experience, there's no doubt that Anambra State is in a new era of football development. I must also say that it's important to work as a team for success.

"It's only by so doing that the 'renewed hope agenda' of the state governor as it affects sports, football in particular, could be achieved.

"The state is proud of you. And by working harmoniously with the ANSFA Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi, the youth in the state will benefit tremendously.

"The ANSFA is working in tandem with the Prof Chukwuma Soludo led government of Anambra State to ensure the realisation of the renewed hope agenda", Ojukwu said.
