As road reconstruction and rehabilitation takes centre stage all over Imo State, with massive work ongoing along Elele/Umuapu/Umuagwo/Obinze road (Owerri/PortHarcourt Road ), the Member Representing Ohaji-Egbema State Constituency in the Imo State House Of Assembly, Hon Dr Uzoma Francis Osuoha, on Thursday, 27/11/2025, undertook an inspection visit to the site.

The project is being reconstructed by the 3-R Shared Prosperity Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma. The Site Manager of the construction firm, CRANEBURG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, Mr Ford and his team, were on ground to receive the lawmaker during the inspection visit.

During his inspection visit, Hon Osuoha, popularly called Eze Buguma, assessed the progress of work so far done, and acknowledged the high quality work being executed by the contractors. He also praised Governor Uzodimma's sincere effort in ensuring roads in the State are motorable, as road reconstruction and rehabilitation reflects a broader vision of the present Imo State Government to improve the quality of life for all citizens and residents of the state.

 *"The quality of work I am seeing here is top notch. I commend you for maintaining the required standards, and also pray this job is completed within this yuletide season".*  Eze Buguma said.

The Elele/Umuapu/Umuagwo/Obinze road (Owerri/PortHarcourt Road ) is one of the most strategic infrastructure corridors in Imo State, and links several adjoining communities in Ohaji-Egbema local government area, and serves as a vital socio-economic artery facilitating commerce, mobility, and inter-community connectivity even beyond Ohaji-Egbema LGA .

Eze Buguma further stated that *“the road is a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of people and businesses, including students, as there are many tertiary institutions within the axis”*, adding that its speedy completion would significantly ease transportation challenges for commuters and residents, and further enhance economic productivity.

 *This project is critical to the economic and social well-being of our people. It connects major towns and serves as a vital link to all the major roads in Ohaji-Egbema LGA and beyond. I came here on a routine inspection and to encourage the contractors to complete the project within the scheduled time frame".*  Eze Buguma further added.

During the inspection, residents turned out in their numbers to welcome and appreciate the lawmaker, with many describing him as a leader who not only feels the impulse of the community but listens and acts by bridging the gap between governance and the needs of the people.

The ongoing reconstruction forms part of the broader infrastructure renewal drive being executed by the purpose driven leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma..
