The Ogun State Police Command don arrest one man wey call himself pastor — Emmanuel Adegoke — say him collect ₦47 million from one Nigerian woman wey dey live for United Kingdom, under the lie say him wan buy land and build house for her hand.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer for Ogun, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirm the tori for statement wey she drop on Saturday.

 

According to the statement, Odutola talk say:

 

“Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command don arrest one Pastor Emmanuel Adegoke for allegedly obtaining ₦47 million under false pretence.”

 

The mata start after the woman wey be Mary Abosede go report for Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters. She talk say between 2013 and 2025, while she still dey UK, she don dey send money — small small — reach ₦47 million give Adegoke make e help her buy land and build house for Naija.

 

But wahala start when she come back Nigeria come waka go the pastor church — Covenant Mercy Church, for Sam Ewang area, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta. Na there she shock say no land, no house, nothing at all!

 

Police investigation show say Pastor Adegoke, wey dey form man of God, no fit explain how the money take waka.

 

CSP Odutola talk say:

 

“The Commissioner of Police for Ogun State, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, don order make dem transfer both parties and the case file go State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, for proper investigation and correct action.”
