Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a private visit to former military president, General Ibrahim Badangida, at his hilltop residence in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Obasanjo was said to have arrived at Babangida’s residence earlier on the day and held a closed-door meeting with the former military leader that lasted for about 30 minutes. Details of the discussion were not disclosed, as both statesmen kept the engagement strictly private.

After the brief meeting, Obasanjo reportedly left Babangida’s residence and proceeded directly to the airport.

The visit has attracted attention due to the stature of both leaders in Nigeria’s political history, though no official statement has been issued regarding the purpose or outcome of the meeting.
