NWFL Super 6 Gets New Date

The management of the Nigeria Women’s Football League NWFL on Tuesday confirmed that the Super Six finals which was earlier postponed indefinitely will now hold from June 9 to June 16 in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
The NWFL made this known in a circular to clubs through Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, who confirmed the development following a new approval by the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF.

The NWFL Premiership Super Six was initially scheduled to hold from May 5 to May 12, 2023, but had to be postponed due to the upcoming WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup in Ghana.

Participating teams include Rivers Angels, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Delta Queens, Robo Queens and Confluence Queens.

The winner of this year’s edition of the NWFL Super Six tournament will represent Nigeria in WAFU-B Zonal qualifiers for CAF Women’s Champions League.
