The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially opened the Premiership mid-season transfer window from February 25 to March 4, providing clubs with a vital opportunity to strengthen their squads ahead of the second round of the 2025/26 season.

 

Following the conclusion of the first round on Matchday Nine, Bayelsa Queens FC finished top of Group A, while FC Robo Queens emerged as Group B leaders after nine rounds of competitive action.

 

With only the top three teams from each group advancing to the prestigious Super Six and the bottom four sides facing relegation at the end of the regular season, the competition remains delicately poised across both groups.

 

The second round of the NWFL Premiership will officially resume on March 11, as title contenders aim to solidify their positions and chasing teams intensify efforts in the transfer market to secure qualification for the decisive Super Six phase.

 

Clubs are expected to utilize the short transfer window strategically, as every point will be crucial in determining championship ambitions and survival battles in what promises to be a thrilling second half of the season.
