NWFL Issues Final Warning to Imo Striker Queens FC Chairman Over Misconduct
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has given a stern final warning to Prince Chidi, Chairman of Imo Striker Queens FC, due to repeated misconduct incidents during the 2024 NWFL Championship. The league's board and management have expressed concerns over Prince Chidi's behavior, including verbal abuse towards match officials and league management, which violates NWFL rules (Article 23.1 and 23.2.2).
The NWFL has warned that any further incidents of misconduct will result in severe penalties, including a fine of N2,000,000 and a three-month suspension. The league has called on Imo Striker Queens FC to take immediate corrective action to ensure their officials conduct themselves professionally and maintain the integrity of the league.
