The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has praised the Nigerian Aquatic Federation for hosting the inaugural Swim to Future Championship. This tournament, designed for primary and secondary school children aged 6-14, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's vision for sports development .

Hon. Olopade emphasized the importance of nurturing young athletes early, stating, "Our goal is to engage young people at this stage, guide them into professional sports, and help them build careers from their natural talents."

To further support the growth of swimming in Nigeria, Hon. Olopade tasked the Nigerian Aquatic Federation to organize a national competition within the next two months. This event will provide an opportunity to scout and develop young talents who can represent Nigeria on the global stage.

The NSC's commitment to sports development is evident in its efforts to promote grassroots swimming. By investing in infrastructure and funding, the Commission aims to create a sustainable ecosystem that fosters excellence in sports.
